1964 NIPPON ELECTRIC CONTROL EQUIPMENT INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION was established. 1965 The first regular general assembly was held. 1968 The Technical Committee and Business Affairs Committee were launched. 1969 "NECA" was established as the association's official acronym. NECA starts to offer shipping statistics. 1971 The first NECA standards, "Standard Conditions for Control Equipment", were issued. 1972 The NECA logo was approved. 1973 The first NECA Technical Fair (NTF) was held at Tokyo. 1979 The NTF was held in Osaka. 1981 A NECA delegate joined the domestic IEC / TC65 / WG6 committee. 1983 A NECA delegated was sent to the IEC International Congress. 1985 NECA was accepted as a deliberative body of IEC/TC23/SC23J. 1986 The first creative seminar was held. 1989 A draft of JIS standards for PLCs was prepared. 1990 The System Control Fair (SCF) was held jointly with JEMA. 1991 A discussion group on environmental issues was set up (current name Environmental Issues Committee). Research and study of the programmable operating display for standardization of integrated FA was undertaken. 1993 NECA was established as an incorporated body. NECA was accepted as a deliberative body of IEC/TC 94 . 1996 The Age of Electric Control Equipment (Seiden) was announced. 1997 The first International Forum on Control Equipment was held. 1998 The Senior Venture Adviser Program(SVAP) was approved. Trading Company Committee was launched. 1999 NECA homepage was introduced. NECA tackled Y2K issues. 2000 The Safety Controls Committee and IT Promotion Study Group were launched. 2001 Activities for Safety Technology Standardization were begun.The first safety control equipment shipping statistics were offered. 2002 Industrialization promotion study for Product Certification Center was started. NECAGATE (an electronic catalog information retrieval site) made its first appearance.   2003 The IT committee launched. The 10th anniversary of NECA's incorporation was celebrated. "The History of Electric Control Equipment Industry" was issued.       The first OUT-to -OUT shipping statistics were offered. An Examination of "The 21st Century is the Age of Electric Control Equipment" was issued. NECAGATE's environmental information section debuted. The Intellectual Property Study Group was launched.       NECAGATE was restructured as an electric control equipment portal. The IEC/TC94 Plenary Meeting was held in Tokyo.   The first NECA Management Seminar was held.
